Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested two persons while they were trying to peddle ganja near KSRTC Bus stand Bejai here on April 23.
The arrested have been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed (30), a resident of Valachil,Farangipet and Mustafa (29) from K S Rao Nagar, Karnad Mulki.

On getting reliable information, the CCB police in a swift operation arrested Ganja peddlers and recovered 300 grams Ganja and mobile phone, worth Rs 6500/- from their possession.
During interrogation it was revealed that they were selling Ganja to the students and the public. It is also learnt that Imtiyaz was previously involved in Ganja peddling and murder case.
Both the accused have been handed over to the Barke police station for further investigation. The operation was carried out under the direction of the police commissioner S Murugan and the able guidance of DCP law and order SantoshBabu, DCP crime Vishnuvardhan. CCB inspector Valentine D’Souza and CSI Shyam Sunder were also present.
