Mangaluru CCB Police Seize Hydroweed Worth ₹30 Lakhs 

Mangaluru: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested a 23-year-old man, H. Mohammed Hafeez, for selling hydroweed, a banned substance, to students and the general public. The police have seized 300 grams of hydroweed worth ₹30 lakhs and 2.5 kg of ganja worth ₹75,000, along with a mobile phone and a digital weighing machine.

The accused, a resident of Puttur, had allegedly sourced the hydroweed from Thailand. Further investigation is underway to nab others involved in the racket.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, IPS, and Deputy Commissioners of Police Siddharth Goel, IPS, and B.P. Dinesh Kumar, KSPS. The CCB team was led by ACP Manoj Kumar Naik and included PSI Sharannappa Bhandary and other staff.
