Mangaluru: City Has Been Beautifully Saffronized, all Set for Hindu Samajotsava -Ganesh Rao

Mangaluru: Hindu Samajotsava Samiti held a press meet at the Utsava office, Bunts Hostel here on February 28.

Addressing the mediapersons the honorary president of the Hindu Samajotsava Samiti Ganesh Rao said that all arrangements have been done for the Utsavawhich is scheduled to be held on March 1. The city has been saffronized with the buntings, flags and banners and looks very beautiful.  As precautionary measures, the district administration has installed more than 500 CCTV cameras all over the city and 200 Video cameras will record the entire programme.

He also said that the people in the city will not face any problems during the programme. We are not against any religion, but we are organizing the programme to unite Hindus. Pejawar Swamiji will bless the programme and Dr Veerendra Heggade will preside.

Ganesh Rao urged every Hindu to attend the Samajotsava and show their unity to make it a grand success.

Briefing on the arrangements Jitendra Kottari said, “According to the order from the district administration we will start the programme on time. At 2:30 pm sharp we will start the procession from Ambedkar Circle Jyothi. There will be 9 tableuxand various organizations will come with their bands. We have appointed 150 volunteers to help the crowd during the procession. We will start the stage programme at 4:00 PM and at sharp 5:30 PM the programme will end”.

He further said that, we are expecting the crowd to be nearly one lakh and have arranged snacks and soft drinks for One lakh people. To avoid shortage the participants are requested to bring drinking water along with them. March 1 being Sunday, most of the shops will be closed and drinking water will not be available. Only 5000 chairs will be set up for the VIPs, rest of the people should arrange themselves to sit on the ground.

He also said that 400 buses have been arranged for people to come to Samajotsava and a leader has been appointed in every bus to guide the people, so that the participants do not face any problems before and after the programme.

Prof M B Puranik and Rajogopal Rai were also present.
