Mangaluru: The Data Centre of the Information and Technology Department was inaugurated at the SCDCC Bank premises, Kodialbail here on June 11.
Addressing the mediapersons, President of SCDCC Bank Dr Rajendra Kumar said that after shifting to the new building of SCDCC Bank, the data centre has been inaugurated today. “To collect the information of the main office and all the 99 SCDCC branches, a Data Centre was needed and this fully fledged data centre was built in the newly constructed building as per our requirement. Due to some reasons, the inauguration was delayed and so, we have inaugurated the IT department today. The Data centre will operate 24X7 with internet and core banking facilities.
He further said that using modern technology, the SCDCC bank is planning to provide, Inter Bank Mobile Payment (IBMP) system for its customers with the co-operation of National Payment Corporation of India. Through the IBMP, customers can make transactions through mobile from one account to another. SCDCC has taken all measures to implement the IBMP system and is awaiting permission from the Reserve Bank.
SCDCC bank has distributed RuPay cardS to its customers, and the customers who have an NFS network can withdraw money from ATMs using RuPay cards. In this regard, we have received Issuer Identification Number (IIN) from the National Payment Corporation of India.
In the previous financial year, the bank has achieved a turnover of Rs 4536.24 crore and in the current year, the bank has set a target of Rs 5500 crore.
On behalf of SCDCC and Navodaya Gram Vikas Charitable Trust, Rajendra Kumar handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the family of Kushalappa Gowda from Bantwal, who died after being attacked by a tiger in Pilikula. Kushalappa’s mother Revathi received the cheque from Dr M N Rajendra Kumar.
