He was a hardworking boy and was very much interested in music. While pursing his studies, he was supporting his family by working during the day and attending college in the evening.
The Picture of Jeevan Fernandes playing the band clicked by Team Mangalorean on April 9, in a Roce Function at Kadri.
His elder sister Jennifer’s wish is to donate her brother’s vital organs to others so that her brother can live through them.
Speaking to mangalorean.com, AJ hospital ICU Specialist Dr Sudhesh Rao said that the members from the ZCCK had arrived to A J Hospital to take Jeevan’s vital organs to Bengaluru. “Jeevan had met with an accident on April 10 and was pronounced brain dead. But his other organs were functioning normally. Many people are in need of such organs to live. Some people donate their family member’s vital organs to others. We are taking Jeevan’s liver and sending it to BGS Global hospital, Bengaluru. We are doing this for the first time in Mangaluru. Four doctors will take part in the procedure.”
He further said that the recipient is waiting in Bengaluru’s BGS Global hospital. “In the coming days, we will continue to do this procedure in Mangaluru too. We have made arrangements for zero traffic during the transport of the organs to the airport. From there, the organ will be flown by chartered flight to Bengaluru.”
