Mangaluru: Fatima D’Silva has been awarded a PhD in Nursing by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences under the Consortium of Indian Nursing Council and the World Health Organization for her thesis titled, ‘A Study To Evaluate The Effectiveness of Comprehensive Nursing Intervention on the Physical and Psychosocial Outcome of Patients with Coronary Heart Disease’, under the guidance of Dr Muninarayananappa, Principal, Theerthankara University, Uttar Pradesh.
She completed her Graduation in Nursing studies (BSc. N) with 1st Rank in the year 1992 from Fr Muller’s College of Nursing affiliated to Mangalore University. She completed her Post Graduation in Nursing Studies (MSc. N) in the year 1996 with 1st Rank and Gold Medal from Fr Muller’s College of Nursing.
She has undertaken many research works in the field of Nursing, and has authored and co-authored many publications in journals of national and international repute.
Dr Fatima has also guided many research students in their Graduate and Post-Graduate studies. She has been invited for many national and international seminars, workshops and conferences as a resource person and guide. She has also presented research papers in state, national and international forums. She has also organised various National and International Conferences.
