Mangaluru: Abhinandan (6), one of the two survivors in the ghastly collision of vehicles in Kadapala near Kallugundi town bordering between Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu on Feb 18, was since battling for life in a private hospital here. Sadly, he succumbed to the injuries on Sunday, Feb 22.
His mother, Bhavya, is still in a critical condition in the hospital. Her husband, Avinash, had died on the spot along with his father Lakshminarayana, while mother Chinnamma had died on the way to a hospital in Mangaluru.
The family, hailing from Bhimaguli of Pambettadi village in Sullia taluk, was returning in their Alto car from Virajpet where they had attended an ‘uttarakriya’ ceremony of a relative. A tipper collided with their vehicle, killing two and injuring three others.
