Mangaluru: Gundyadka Rajkiran Rai, hailing from Gundyadka in Puttur taluk, has taken over as the executive director of Oriental Bank of Commerce a few days ago.
Until now, he served as a field general manager in Central Bank of India’s metropolitan zonal office in Mumbai.
Born on May 19, 1962, Rai graduated in Science and began his career as an agricultural finance officer in Central Bank of India.
He is a certified member of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) and has over three decades of banking experience.
As deputy general manager of the bank, he had handled its human resources department. As part of training, he had the privilege of visiting Europe.
Promoted as general manager in 2012, Rai was assigned the responsibility of the HRD department. He took part in the initial stages of wage negotiations with the Indian Banks’ Association.
In April 2014, he was promoted to the post last held by him prior to the current posting.
