The traffic police on duty arrived at the spot and with the help of the locals, shifted the man to the hospital.

People who had gathered at the spot said that there is a need to put road humps here, because vehicles do not allow the pedestrians to cross the roads nor do they follow the traffic rules and often travel at high speeds. “We are afraid to cross the road,” they said.

Eyewitnesses said that the driver’s negligence has caused the accident . “Traffic laws should be strictly implemented since the most of the bus drivers play with the lives of the pedestrians and threaten smaller vehicles on the roads, they think that they own the roads.”

The police have seized the Bus and registered a case.

People have the habit of crossing the road not at pedestrian crossing but wherever they find it convenient.
