Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested another accused on June 30. The accused had succeeded to escape on June 27 during the raid near Kaikamba Kulshekar.
On June 27, on getting information from reliable sources the CCB police led by Valentine D’Souza raided the area near the post office at Kaikamba Kulshekar and arrested Dayanand who was planning to assault a person along with other two of his associates. At the time of raid two persons had fled from the scene. Police had also seized a Pistol and five live rounds in their possession. Since then the police were looking out for the other two.
On June 30, the CCB police succeeded in arresting Nishant Shetty (24) one of the accused who was absconding from Vamanjoor, he is a resident of Kelarai Church Road, Kudupu.
Nishant Shetty is involved in various crimes and cases have been registered against him in Mangaluru Rural police station, Kavoor and Ullal police stations. Search is on for the third accused Chittaranjan Shetty who is still absconding. Nishant Shetty has been handed over to the Urva Police for further investigation.
