Mangaluru: District Sri Rama Sene held a press meet at the Arya Samaj Mandir, Balmatta here on April 4.
Addressing the mediapersons, the state working president of SRS Sri Sri Siddalinga Swamiji of Andola Math said that the atrocities on Hindus are increasing in the country. Prof K S Bhagawan had made derogatory comments on burning of Srimad Bhagavat Gita, but the state government did not arrest him.
“While Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, who has been in custody for more than 7 years, appealed for bail on medical grounds as she is suffering from cancer, but her bail was rejected. In the state, the Congress government is showing anti Hindu policy by not taking any action against Prof Bhagawan for his derogatory remarks on the holy book of Hindus. Prof Bhagawan had also criticized Hindu Deities and said Rama is not a holy man and criticized Rama and Sita in bad light.”
“If Sadhvi Pragya’s bail was rejected, then Prof Bhagawan should be arrested and sent to jail. If the government will not take any action against him, Sri Rama Sene will stage a protest against the district minister in-charges in every district. We have already started a paper campaign. We will send one crore papers from Sri Rama Sene to the President of India, the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Maharastra to release Sadhvi Praghya Singh from jail.”
He further said that the state government should also ban cow slaughter like in Maharashtra. He also urged the union government to declare the cow as the national animal instead of the tiger.
District President of Durga Sene Vijayashree Gatti, Manohar Tulajaram, Praveen Valke, Anand Shetty Adyar, Jeevan Neermarga and Guru Pandeshwar were also present.
What a joke Swamiji? What all demands you are keeping in front of the State government?
