Mangaluru: A cement laden lorry rolled down the flyover near Kuloor here, on February 21.
The lorry was plying from Mangaluru towards Baikampady. When the lorry reached near Kuloor bridge, the driver of the lorry lost control over the vehicle due to a brake failure, causing the lorry to roll down the bridge.
Both, the driver and the conductor were injured in the mishap. The locals gathered and pulled the driver and the conductor out of the lorry. They have been taken to a hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the lorry were lucky as the lorry rolled down just 10 meters after entering the bridge; a few more meters and the lorry would have been in the river.
A case has been registered in the Suratkal Traffic police station.
