Mangaluru: Miscreants have destroyed the Samajotsava banners in K C Road and nearby places on the night of February 27. The banners were put up on February 25 during which clashes erupted between two groups.
Sources said that volunteers had decorated the K C Road area with buntings, banners and flags for the Virat Hindu Samajotsava, which is scheduled to be held on March 1 at the Nehru Maidan.
On the night of February 27, the banners were destroyed by miscreants. Police sources said that the CCTV cameras have been installed and section 144 has also been imposed in some places. But some anti-social elements are creating problems.
