Mangaluru: The skeletal remains of a girl were found at Krishnapura here, on September 4.
According to the Kavoor police, Shwetha (25), daughter of Sundari, a resident of Adyapady, had gone to her uncle Yashwanth’s house at Chelar on June 25. In the morning of June 26, she had gone for work from Yashwanth’s house but never returned since then. In this regard, on June 27, a missing person’s case was registered in the Kavoor police station.
The police could not find any clue about Shwetha’s disappearance. On September 4, when some people went to collect leaves for Krishna Janmastami preparations, they were shocked to see a human skull and bones scattered on the ground. They also found a pink coloured shawl tied to a tree.
At some distance from the area, they also found a bag containing an Identity card and other articles. They immediately informed the Suratkal police. The police reached the spot and conducted an investigation, following which they found that the ID card belonged to Shwetha who had been missing since June 26, 2015.
The Suratkal police informed the Kavoor police and the Bajpe police as Shwetha’s mother resides in Adyapady which comes under the jurisdiction of the Bajpe police and the missing person’s case being registered in the Kavoor police station.
Investigation is on to find the reason behind the death of Shwetha.
