Mangaluru: Mother along with 4-year-old Child taken to Bengaluru by Police in Fraud Case

Mangaluru: Bengaluru Police arrested Gauri Suhas along with her 4-year-old child in a fraud case from Kodialbail here on May 10.

According to the police, Nanjunda Gupta filed a case in the Tilaknagar Police station Bengaluru against the main accused Anuradha Padiyar along with her husband N M Padiyar, her daughters, son and sons-in-law for creating fake seals and documents of Nanjunda Gupta and misusing them.

The Bengaluru police who were looking out for all the seven accused in the case, got information that the family had moved to Mangaluru and rented a house in Kodialbail. The Bengaluru police after knowing their whereabouts were keeping a close eye on their movements.

The other accused are Anuradha Padiyar, her husband M N Padiyar, daughter Kavitha, her husband K J Dhanajay, Suhas Rao (husband of Gauri Rao) and Dinesh.

On May 8, Anuradha along with her husband Padiyar yet again moved to another place from Kodialbail along with their puppy. The owner of the house got suspicious about their movements. Padiyar’s daughter Gauri along with her husband also had rented a house in Kodialbail. On May 10, Gauri’s husband was out on duty to Kundapur and she was alone at home with her 4-year-old son. The Bengaluru police with the help of Barke police arrested Gauri and took her along with the child to Bengaluru for further investigation.

Local activists who had gathered outside the Barke police station said “The woman was forcibly taken to Bengaluru along with her 4-year-old son late in the evening which is against the law. They could have produced her before the magistrate in Mangaluru and on May 11, could have taken her to Bengaluru.

Bengaluru police have registered a case under section 420, 465, 468, 471, RW 34 IPC.
