Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar held a press meet at the BJP office here, on October 16.

Addressing the mediapersons, Nalin said that since the last many months, there have been many untoward incidents taking place in the district, and Hindu youth and activists have been targeted. On October 9, Bajrang Dal activist, a flower vendor, Prashant was brutally murdered in front of his father. Before his death, Prashant had revealed names of some of the attackers to his father and the same has been mentioned to the police. But even after one week of Prashant’s murder, no one has been arrested which shows that the police department is in the hands of politicians, Kateel alleged.

He further said that 7 such incidents have taken place in Moodbidri and no one has been arrested so far. “The police department has totally failed to arrest the culprits in all the 7 cases. People in Moodbidri are afraid to go out of their houses due to such assaults. Some people are even afraid to keep cows in their homes. Even in Moodbidri some youth, who do not belong to any organization, have been attacked but the police are not showing any interest to arrest the culprits.”

He alleged that the home minister is behind all the attacks and is indirectly supporting such assaults. “For the Muslim vote bank, the Congress government is pleasing them and when they commit any crime, the police are hesitant to take action. If the home minister cannot stop such incidents, let him resign from his post,” he demanded.

“To condemn the brutal murder of Prashant, we, the members of BJP, will stage a protest in front of Ambedkar Statue after garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Park on October 20. The protest will start from 9 am and it will go till 5 pm. Yeddyurappa, Shoba Karandlaje, Prahlad Joshi, Jagadish Shettar, Eshwarappa, R Ashok, Suresh Kumar and other BJP leaders will take part in the protest. On October 19, Yeddyurappa will attend the “Uttara Kriye” of Prashant Poojary in Moodbidri. If the killers will not be arrested on October 20, we will stage a protest,” he added.

Dear readers,

Why does this incompetent elected MP didn’t raise the voice when Kannada scholar and rationalist MM Kalburgi was gunned down for his views on idol worshipping and the latest target of the religious extremists is Professor KS Bhagwan, a retired professor from the Mysuru University?

Why does he remains silent on the daily ‘Moral police’, ‘cow chase’ and ‘communal clash’?

Is ‘smart city’ will be build over the death and destruction? Is ‘communal politics’ is the stepping stone is the only tool for BJP success?
