He further said, “I have taken over as the chairman of MUDA recently, I need to develop the city. If any city needs to be developed, we need to retain communal harmony in the society. After becoming the chairman of MUDA, many people from gulf countries have showed their willingness to invest in Dakshina Kannada, they have also said that they were hesitant because of the communal violence in the district. The people of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi are known to be intellectuals but at the same time due to communal violence, the district has got a bad name.” While concluding, Kodijal said that we should all work for communal harmony in the district, so that people from other countries will willingly come to Mangaluru and invest in the development of the district. “Let us all join hands to make our district a safe place to live in.”
