Mangalore: The new Infant Mary Church was inaugurated by the provincial superior of Carmelites, Karnataka-Goa province Fr Charles Serrao along with the Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius D’Souza, at Bajjodi here on January 2, 2015.
Prior to the inauguration The Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius D’Souza and Fr Charles Serrao were taken in a procession to the newly built church premises along with other priests.
Bishop Dr Aloysius D’Souza inaugurated the new Altar and the Sanctuary, he later celebrated the mass along with other priests.
In his homily Fr Pius D’Souza said that God is with us and he wants to live with us. When guests come to our house we prepare food according to their taste likewise when God comes to us we need to live our life according to Jesus. He further said that the Infant Mary church is built to strengthen our faith and fulfil our spiritual needs.
When we are in stress, the church is the perfect place to leave all our stress and problems and make it as a temple of faith.
There was a stage programme after the Mass. All the donors and well wishers were felicitated on the occasion.
