Mangaluru: NSUI Holds Quiz competition on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

Mangaluru: National Students Union of India (NSUI) Dakshina Kannada district organised a quiz competition on India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as part of his 125th birth anniversary celebration at Padua High School hall, Nanthur here on 22 August.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Capt Praveen Davar inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp along with other dignitaries on the dais.

MLC Ivan D’Souza expressed his gratitude to the Principal of Padua School for providing the opportunity and said that the students will receive enlightenment about Nehru through this competition.

Davar has been conducting quizzes across the country as part of the 125th birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. This is the 4th such quiz that he will be conducting in Karnataka. Speaking to the students, he said that he felt greatly privileged to be part of the programme.

Later, the quiz was held for the students. NSUI president Ashith Pereira, Francis D’Cunha, students and staff of Padua High School were also present.
