Mangaluru: Parish Priest of Holy Redeemer Church Derebail Fr Joseph Lobo (58), died of massive heart attack on October 6.
Fr Joseph Lobo (58), was the son of Gregory and Elizebeth Lobo, residents of Loretto, Bantwal.
According to sources, On October 6, night, while Fr Joseph Lobo was having bath, he collapsed. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.
Fr Joseph Lobo was a able priest who had served in various parishes. He was ordained on 19 April 1983, he served in the Valencia Parish as a assistant parish priest from 1983 to 1985. He was later transferred to Bejai where he served as assistant parish priest for a year. In 1986 Fr Joseph Lobo was transferred to Permude parish as Parish priest and served for seven years. He also served as a parish priest of Arva from 1993 to 2000. Later he served as parish priest in Kolalagiri for 2 years, Niddodi for 7 years and from there he was transferred to Derebai parish in 2015.
