Mangaluru: Rajesh Gowda, who was stranded in war torn Yemen, reached safely to his hometown here on April 4.
Speaking to mangalorean.com, Rajesh said, “From Yemen, I had gone to Djibouti and boarded the flight from there at Indian time 3:00 PM on April 3 and landed in Kochi. Today morning, I travelled from Kochi by train at 7:00 am and reached Mangaluru Central railway station at 12:30 PM.”
When asked about his experience, Rajesh said, “I thank God for reaching my home town safely. I have decided not to go back to Yemen. My company in Yemen made all the arrangements for sending me back to my home town. I am very thankful to the Indian government who brought us back from Yemen. Also thanks to the media who highlighted the issue at international level, my parents and all my well wishers. I am very happy to be back with my family in Puttur.”
