Mangaluru: Rs 2-lakh Grant from Govt as Medical Aid to Ailing Tulu Actor K N Tailor

Mangaluru: Chief minister S Siddaramaiah has released Rs 2 lakh as medical aid to veteran Tulu actor-director and Rajyotsava award recipient K N Tailor, who has been indisposed and is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city.

This information has been conveyed by Mangaluru north MLA  Mohiddin Bava, who convinced the CM about the need to assist Tailor with a substantial amount. Bava also said that district minister-in-charge B Ramanath Rai, Beltangady MLA Vasant Bangera and MLC Ivan D’Souza too facilitated the grant.

Earlier this week, Dr Jayamala, former Tulu and Kannada star, who had acted with K N Tailor in Tulu movies, had sent Rs 1 lakh as her personal contribution towards the same cause. Minister U T Khader also had chipped in with his personal contribution.
