Mangaluru: The statue of Blessed Joseph Vaz was taken in a decorated vehicle, in procession from Panir Church to Mudipu Shrine on January 9.
The decorated vehicle carrying the statue of Blessed Joseph Vaz was accompanied by tableau’s. The procession culminated at the Mudipu Shrine which was followed by mass.
MLC Ivan D’Souza hoisted the flag and inaugurated the Novena at the Shrine. Later the Chancellor of the Mangaluru Diocese Fr Henry Sequeira along with the parish priest of Mudipu Shrine Fr Gregory D’Souza and Parish priest of Panir Church Fr Vincent D’Souza celebrated the mass at the shrine.
Fr Melwyn Noronha, Vice president of pastoral committee Roshan D’Souza, former vice president Michael D’Souza, Secretary Leo D’Souza, KDP member Alwyn D’Souza and Felix D’Souza were also present.
