Mangaluru: Three persons were buried alive in a landslide at a construction site near the Gram Panchayat Building at Faranagipet here, on July 14.
The deceased have been identified as Karikol, Milon and Maimilol. They were all natives of North India.
According to police, the incident took place when the labourers were working at a construction site belonging to Sayed Bava Builders, which was constructing a commercial building at Farangipet. Soil on the edge of excavated area collapsed on 6 labourers working below. The locals, rescue team and the police reached the spot and rescued three persons from the rubble while three of them were buried alive, 2 bodies have been recovered and operations are on to recover the third one.
Superintendent of Police Dr Sharanappa also reached the spot for further investigation.
