Mangaluru: The Toll gate on National Highway (NH) near National Institute of Technology, Karnataka ( NITK) Suratkal collapsed, after it was hit by a truck, during the early hours of November 6.
MLA Moideen Bava visited the spot. Moideen Bava said that the toll structure collapsed when a single truck was plying through the toll. “This shows the quality of construction. The quality is very poor and basic facilities are not upto the mark,” he added.
The traffic on Suratkal road has been disrupted due to the incident. The Suratkal police have also reached the spot.
