Activist Gerard Towers said that the divider near Kadri bus stop had resulted in 6-7 accidents in a span of 10-15 days and he also had CCTV videos to back his claim. “When complained, the MCC officials ask if anyone has died at the spot. Are they waiting for any deaths to occur? Concrete roads are built to benefit only the rich. New bus shelters are not built where people wait for the bus but are built at a distance where beggars have made them their quarters,” he said.

“When we go to the market it looks as if we are in Somalia, there is no proper maintenance of the market. The corporators are there just to make profit and they own many flats in Bengaluru,” he said.

Yogesh Shetty from Tulu Nadu Rakshana Vedike said, “We pay tax on every single item that we purchase and with Rs 7-8 lakh of the tax payers money a bus stop was built, which has now collapsed.”

AAP member, Alex said, “Elected members are cheating the public, but AAP works for the common people. People should realize the truth behind this protest and join us in the protest so that we have good leaders.”
