Mangaluru: The team jersey and theme song of Maestro Titans were released amid much pomp and celebration at the City Centre Mall here, on December 10.
The team jersey was unveiled by the team’s brand ambassador and Tulu film actress, Sonal Monteiro, and Tulu and Kannada film actor, Arjun Kapikad. The team will sport a blue jersey with a hint of red along the sleeves.
Wishing the team success, Arjun Kapikad said, “I am fond of cricket and Maestro Titans are favorites to win the tournament.”
Vikas Puthran, celebrity trainer, Zeus Fitness, said, “The team has been working hard. Zeus Fitness is providing good training to the team and the team is making good use of the facilities. I wish them all the best.”
Srinivas Deshpande, Chief Manager of public affairs, Karnataka Bank, also wished the team success.
MPL organizer Imtiaz said, “Many of my colleagues are playing in the team; they are definitely a favorite. I wish them good luck.”
The team’s theme song ‘Maestro Titans, we are the super stars’, composed and sung by Sandesh, was also released. A dance troupe performed to the beats of the song with claps and cheers from the audience. The song is quiet catchy and many fans could be heard humming the tune once the music stopped.
The players sporting the blue jersey and captained by Sinan Khader were revealed. Prakash and Rithesh will coach the team.
MPL will be inaugurated on December 13 at the NMPT cricket stadium. Maestro Titans will play their first match on December 14, for which free tickets will be issued to all fans present at the release function.
The function was compered by RJ Anurag. Fans were entertained by dance performances and songs sung by Sandesh and Soumya.
Maestro Titans is owned by Canyut Fernandes, owner of Maestro Corporation. It is one of the 12 teams to participate in the upcoming MPL tournament, which will be played from 13 to 26 December at the NMPT cricket stadium.
