Mangaluru: Two youth have been assaulted by a group at Chitrapur here on October 19. The injured have been identified as Bharat and Pushparaj

According to sources, on October 19, Hindu girls were recharging their mobile phones in a Muslim Mobile shop. Bharat and Pushparaj alleged that the shop owner was taking advantage of the girls and warned him. There was exchange of words between them in the afternoon at Chitrapur. When Bharat and Pushparaj were on their way to the police station to file a case against the shop owner, three people assaulted them.

Bharat, Pushparaj and the attackers were injured in the assault. Bharat and Pushparaj have been admitted to a hospital in Suratkal whereas the other group members are admitted in the hospital in Mangaluru.

Former district in-charge minister Palemar visited the hospital, after visiting the hospital speaking to mangalorean.com Palemar said that there have been continuous assault on Hindu youth in and around Suratkal but the MLA of the North constituency is not taking any action against the criminals who are continuously attacking Hindu youth. The police are also not taking any action to nab culprits.

He also said that the police should take strict action against those who violate the law. A case has been registered in Panambur police station.
