Mangaluru: Voting for the Gram Panchayat elections in 1212 Booths began at 7 a.m on May 29.

In the 227 Gram Panchayats and 1212 polling booths, voting started at 7 a.m. 5,05,152 men and 5,10,808 women (total of 1016024) eligible votes will cast their votes.

For the 3399 seats, 7619 candidates are contesting in which 109 candidates have been elected unopposed.
