Mangaluru: The launching ceremony of team ‘Gimpex Warriors’ for the Paradise Premier League was held at the Forum Fiza Mall premises on 12 January 2015.
The Paradise Premier League is a local imitation of cricket leagues like the KPL, IPL, etc. with a twist that the bowling will be underarm. The league will begin on Jan 14 at the Paradise Grounds. 10 teams have already been auctioned to participate in the league.
MLA Moideen Bava came up with this unique idea of having a cricket league based on underarm bowling. He has been the President of the Paradise Club since 14 years.
State Minister for Forests and Environment and District minister-in- charge Ramanath Rai unveiled the logo and T-shirt of the team. He congratulated the team owner Imtiaz Ali and wished the team all success.
Moideen Bava also spoke on the occasion and wished the team good luck in the PPL matches.
The occasion also witnessed the presentation of the team members.
