Mangaluru: A 32-year-old man was attacked by miscreants at Chembugudde here on September 10.
The injured has been identified as Lancy D’Souza (32), a resident of SantoshNagar, Ullal and a welder by profession.
According to police, Lancy was on his way home on his two wheeler after finishing his work, a swift car rammed into his two wheeler and knocked him down. Immediately the occupants from the car got down and assaulted Lancy with deadly weapons, later they fled from the spot leaving the car.
Lancy who was critically injured, he was rushed to the hospital. Ullal police reached the spot and seized the car and recovered weapons from the car.
Lancy was involved in HJV activist Yathish Poojary’s murder case.
A case has been registered in Ullal police station.
