Mangaluru: Syed Hassan Koppa (31), the younger son of the late Abdul Qader Koppa ‘Badriya’, died in a private hospital in the city on Saturday evening, following a brief stint of illness.
He was an up-and-coming entrepreneur. An Engineering graduate he had so many social concerns at heart, the menace of dowry among others. He led a forum called ‘Youth against Dowry’ and was engaged in many other kinds of social service.
He is survived by mother, wife and a son. His final rites were scheduled to be held in the central Juma mosque in the city on Sunday at 9 am.
