Mangaluru/Udupi: SSLC Exams Begin in 58 Centres across the District

Mangaluru: With 100 examination centres at Dakshina Kannada district in total, the SSLC exams commenced here on Monday, March 30.

A total of 36,514 students will appear for the examinations in Dakshina Kannada.

Vigilance squads have been constituted to check malpractice during the exams in the district. The squad will be headed by high school head teacher or the senior assistant teacher of the school marked as examination centres.

At Sacred Hearts School Kulshekar, physically challenged students were given substitutes to write the examination.

Udupi: The SSLC examinations began in a smooth manner in the district on Friday, March 30, 2015. 17,112 students from the district are appearing in 58 centres for the SSLC examinations, which will go on till April 13. 16,057 fresh candidates, 427 private candidates and 595 repeaters are answering the examination.

The examinations are being held at 58 examination centres in the district. Udupi zone has 16 centres, Brahmavar 13, Karkala 11, Kundapur 9 and 9 centers in Byndoor zone.

A prohibitory order has been promulgated from March 30 to April 13 from 6 am to 2 pm all over the district within a radius of 200 metres around the centres where the SSLC examinations are held. As per the prohibitory orders, all the photocopying centres within the 200 meter radius of the examination centres should be closed half an hour before the examination.

Vigilance squads have been constituted to check malpractice during the exams in the district. The squad will be headed by a high school head teacher or the senior assistant teacher of the school marked as examination centres. Students were seen clearing last minute doubts and verifying the rooms allotted to write their exams. Several parents were seen accompanying their children to the examination centres.
