Mangluru: Bajpe Police Arrest Notorious Thief involved in Various Theft Cases

Mangaluru: The Bajpe Police have arrested a man on February 8, in connection with various theft cases said the police commissioner Chandra Sekhar in a press meet held at his office premises here on February 9.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul Razak alias Razooq (45), a resident of Zarinagar, Bajpe.

Razak was involved in various theft cases, cases have been registered against him in the Mulki police station, he was also involved in murder cases. When people were locking their houses and attending marriage functions, Razak was targeting and breaking into such houses. He was using wooden clubs to open the door without breaking it.

The Bajpe police have seized 380 grams of gold ornaments, Cash Rs 30,000, foreign currency worth Rs 68,000 and a two-wheeler from his possession.

Under the able guidance of police commissioner Chandra Sekhar, DCP of Crime Dr Sanjeev Patil and ACP Madan A Gaokar, the operation was carried out by the Bajpe police inspector T D Nagaraj along with PSI Ramesh H Hanapura, ASI Sugumaran K, head constables Prakash Murthy, Ramachandra, Chandrashekhar and staff Chandramohan, Dayanand, Ramachandra, Bharat K J, Shasidhar, Abushalya, and Lavani.

Mangaluru: Pandeshwar Police Arrest Man in Theft Case

Mangaluru: In another case Pandeshwar police have arrested a man in connection with a theft case at the Badriya Junction State bank here on February 9.

The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Asif alias Achi (24), a resident of Kasaba Bengre.

Mohammed Asif was involved in various theft cases and cases have registered against him in the Bantwal Town police station, Ullala, Uppinangady and Panambur police stations. He did not appear before the court in spite of warrants issued for him and the Police were looking out for him.

On February 7, the Pandeshwar police while checking vehicles at Badriya Junction arrested him and seized two vehicles which were stolen from the Central Railway station on February 23, 2015, another Scooter stolen from Bunder and copper wires stolen from Bharat Shipyard Bengre. He is also involved in the theft case of a Stationary shop in Bunder.

Pandeshwar police inspector Dinaker Shetty arrested Mohammed Asif and recovered the vehicles and copper wires from his possession. PSI Ananth Murdeshwar, Vishwanath, Gangadhar, Dhanajay Gowda, Nutan Kumar and Chandrashekar also assisted in the operation.
