Manipal: Dr Satish Adiga, Professor at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
University, has been made a Research Ambassador for German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in India for three years.
DAAD Research Ambassador promotes German science and technology in India by providing information on education and research opportunities in Germany. Ambassadors work as the think-tank and point of contact for initiating academic co-operations and projects, planning visits of high-level delegations from Germany and are also role-models for the next generation students and scholars.
Dr Adiga is associated with world class universities and research institutes in Germany. He has been collaborating with German scientists in the area of fertility and is a recipient of several prestigious international fellowships such as Alexander von Humboldt foundation fellowship, Germany and JSPS fellowship, Japan and UICC, Switzerland.
