“The Kerala Government had formed a team led by retired forest officials to survey the land indicated for implementing the Kasturirangan report. The team reviewed the satellite survey and also conducted a spot survey and sent a consolidated report to the government on the same. The report by the forest officials suggested that the 4000 sq kms land should be excluded from the report. The Kerala government has sent in the recommendations on the basis of the report of retired police officials to the Supreme Court Green Bench while the Congress-led state government is busy in giving misleading statements to the people about the report.”

She also said that the government is inefficient in ensuring security to the people as the bomb blast in Bangalore on 28 December indicates poor intelligence. “The Chief Minister and the Home Minister seem to be busy in their personal work which is ruining our internal security.”

“The protest in Suvarna Soudha, Belgaum during the last assembly sessions indicate the inefficiency of the government in addressing the problems of the farmers. The promises given to the farmers by the government are in vain.”

“The government’s efforts to provide rice for rupee 1 per kg seems to have failed. Rice is not made available to the BPL card holders as the government is trying to distance itself from the promise of giving 1kg rice for 1 rupee. The confusion of the issuing of BPL cards is causing too much inconvenience to the people,” she alleged.

She also said that she has made consultations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Kasturirangan Report and has met the Surface Minister Nithin Gadkari on constructing a tunnel in Agumbe to save the biodiversity of the Agumbe Ghat.
Tingale Vikramarjun Hegde, District BJP President and Geethanjali Suvarna, ZP member were present.
