Manipal Police arrest Chain Snatcher
Udupi: In a Swift action the Manipal police arrested a chain-snatcher from Manchikodi on Friday, September 13.
The arrested has been identified as Praveen Naik a resident of Manchikodi
Praveen Naik had snatched the chain from Lalitha, while she was on her way to work (Manipal Press). Incidentally, Lalitha suspected the involvement of Praveen Naik, who was residing in the same area, of the crime. Based on her information, the police nabbed the accused and recovered a piece of the gold chain, worth Rs 9,000. He was remanded to judicial custody after being produced before the court.
