Manipal Police Raid Lodge, Seize Narcotics – Three Arrested

Udupi: Manipal police conducted a raid on Downtown Lodge in Dasharatha Nagar, Badgabettu village, Udupi taluk, resulting in the seizure of narcotics and the arrest of three individuals. The operation was executed based on credible intelligence regarding the use of syringes for narcotics consumption within the lodge.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Azharuddin, Rajesh Prakash Jadhav, and Najil Malpe. Law enforcement officials seized a quantity of narcotics with an estimated value of Rs. 40,000 during the raid.

The confiscated items included 13.70 grams of MDMA, 225 grams of ganja valued at Rs. 10,500, 15 small plastic covers, 5 syringes, and other materials believed to be related to narcotics usage. In addition, police confiscated two mobile phones, including a Redmi touchscreen phone estimated to be worth Rs. 5,000.

A formal case has been registered under FIR No. 70/2025 at Manipal Police Station, invoking Sections 8(c), 20(b), and 22(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The Manipal police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the full extent of the narcotics activity and identify any additional individuals involved.
