Many passengers Injured as bus overturns after hitting LPG Tanker
Udupi: Many of the passengers were injured when a private bus overturned after hitting a tanker at Kinnimulki near Swagatha Gopura here on October 31.
The accident took place when a bus plying from Mangaluru to Udupi while taking a right turn was hit by an LPG tanker also moving on the same route tried to overtake the Bus. When the Tanker rammed into the bus from the rear side, the driver of the Bus lost control over the vehicle resulting in the bus to overturn.
Many passengers who were on the bus suffered minor injuries and were rushed to the nearby hospital.
A case has been registered in the Udupi Traffic Police Station.
