Maravoor Drowning: Bodies Found in Tannirbavi
Mangaluru: The bodies of Jaison (24) and Avinash (26), who had drowned in river Phalguni at the Maravoor dam, had remained untraced for two days.
They both were accused in the murder of Bijai Raja which took place in Falnir in the city on December 1, 2012 and had recently come out on bail.
Search operations were on around the spot of drowning for two days. Finally, the two bodies were found on Thursday, July 7. Jaison’s was found around 8 in the morning and that of Avinash around noon.
They were in semi-decomposed state and partly nibbled up by fish and crab. After a post-mortem examination, they were handed over to their families.
The murder case is being heard in a city court.
