Marissa Jade’s ‘Destiny’ gets film adaptation
Los Angeles, June 28 (IANS) Model-actress Marissa Jade’s comic book “Destiny: Queen of Thieves” is being developed as a movie to be directed by Ken Barbet.
Jade came into limelight after appearing on the sixth and final season of TV show “Mob Wives” and via publication of “Destiny: Queen of Thieves”, which is based on her look and attitude. She has also appeared on shows including “Gossip Girl”, “The Good Wife” and “Law & Order”.
Erik Sudberg has signed on to write the script for the film, reports variety.com.
“Destiny: Queen of Thieves” focuses on a female master thief who lives in New York City. When another criminal organisation tries to pull a major heist, like a darker version of a modern-day Robin Hood, Destiny sets them up to fail and steals the rest of their assets as they flee the city.
“I am ecstatic to see my comic book to come to life. This is going to be such an awesome project,” Jade said.
