Maruti Alto Car Hits Tree- Driver & Passengers Injured Admitted to Hospital
Mangaluru : An early morning accident that took place at around 5.30 am near KHB Colony, Bondel, Mangaluru towards Airport Road, where a Maruti Suzuki Alto bearing registration number KL 14 P 8758 coming from Kasargod-Kerala, the driver along with five passengers, adults and kids, on their way to Mangaluru International Airport, met with an accident, where the car severed to the left side of the road, and hit a tree, damaging the front left side of the car.
The impact of the car was so much, the driver sustained major injuries, while the passengers escaped with minor injuries. Since this car model does not come with air bags, the driver banged towards the front portion of the car, and had his neck twisted, as per Krishnappa K, a resident of the locality.
Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Krishnappa said, “Around 5.30 am while I was returning back after buying the morning paper, I heard a loud thud, and it was a blue car that had hit a tree on side of the road. Quickly me and one more person helped the driver and the driver side passenger to get out of the car. Among all the persons in the car, the driver had major injuries. Luckily a ambulance and a police night beat car which always park in that vicinity, were helpful in quickly rushing the injured to the nearby hospitals”.
Blood stains could be seen inside the car. It is not known yet whether the car occupants were dropping someone to the airport or picking someone up from the airport or going to the airport to greet someone. More details is awaited from the police station, since accident report/case is yet to be filed.
