Mata Amritanandamayi to visit Udupi on February 25
Udupi: Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as Amma, will be visiting Udupi on February 25 during which she would give darshan to devotees and render discourses, said Raghupathi Bhat Secretary of the welcome committee.
He was speaking at a press meet held at the press club on Friday, February 3. Bhat said that the event will include Satsang, Bhajan, meditation and darshan for the benefit of Mata’s devotees. The event will be held at the MGM ground Kunjibettu. She would bless all her devotees, he said.
To make Amma’s visit successful a welcome committee has been formed. District minister in-charge Pramod Madhwaraj will be the honorary president of the committee while Anand C Kunder will be the working president. City Municipal president Meenakshi Madhava Bannaje, Ranjith Salian, Dinesh Putran, Murali Shetty, Ramesh Kanchan and other leaders are also involved in the committee.
Amma will deliver a spiritual discourse followed by a session of meditation and bhajans. This will be followed by the Darshan when Amma will grant individual solace to all with her loving embrace. Tokens will be distributed to obtain Amma’s Darshan. Token will be given free of cost for the darshan and tokens are must for infants too. Arrangements for food have been made at the venue. Mata Amritanandamayi is visiting Udupi first time, 50-60 thousand devotees are expected to attend the programme. Bus facility will also be made available during late evenings to important places in the city, including bus stands and railway stations, he added.
The welcome committee office will be inaugurated on February 5 near the MGM Ground at 10:00 am by Brahmacharini Mangalamratha Chaithanya of Mangaluru and District minister in-charge Pramod Madhwaraj.
Ananda C Kunder, Meenakshi Madhava Bannaje, Shridhar Shetty Kinnimulki, Naveen, Dinesh Putran, Ranjith Salian, Murali Shetty, Ramesh Kanchan and others were present during the press meet.
