Udupi: Mattar Rathnakar Hegde has been appointed as the new BJP President for Udupi district. He has served as the vice president during the tenure of the previous district president.
BJP State unit president BS Yeddyurappa appointed Hegde as the president of the district unit.
Ratnakar Hegde is a practicing lawyer and notary since the past four decades. He has also served as the president of Udupi Bar Association.
