Mayor has Dementia, he has Forgotten Promises made by Congress During Election – Opposition leader Roopa D Bangera
Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party staged a protest against the Mangaluru City corporation for the hike in Self-assessment and water tax, in front of the MCC here on December 28.
Addressing the protesters, opposition leader Roopa D Bangera said, “By hiking the Self-assessment and water tax, Mangaluru City corporation led by the Congress government has failed to keep their promises made during the elections. During the elections, the congress party had assured the people of not hiking the Self assessment tax but our Mayor has no knowledge about it. Even the senior congress leader Janardhan Poojary had pledged of not increasing the tax if the Congress government would come to power. The Mayor has dementia, whatever the congress has promised during elections our Mayor has forgotten.”
Roopa further said, “Janardhan Poojary has now realized that he has failed to keep the promise and he has apologized to the people for the increase in SAT. The elected members do not have any concern of the people. When the Congress government is in power in the state, why is the Mangaluru City corporation not requesting the government not to increase the tax”.
She also said, “The senior congress leaders are in confusion. They do not have respect in the party. Janardhan Poojary had given the assurance and administered the oath on the promises during the election, now he has realized his mistake and said that he is unable to fulfill his promise and apologized to the people. The Mayor should apologize with the people for increasing the tax. If the Mayor has any self-respect let him resign from his post or else in the coming elections the people will teach the Congress party a befitting lesson”.
Madam Roopa Bangera,you are correct when you said,”Senior Congress leaders in confusion”. Look at the Confused behavior of Congress MLA at Nanthoor Junction,fighting and verbally attacking Traffic Police Mr Yashwanth,for doing His duty. MLA was confused when He saw the Ambulance and became paranoid.
Yashwanth was performing His duty to His best and MLA felt jealous and guilty about the Honesty.
