Mayor with MCC Team Raid Major Illegal Skill Games Centre at Jyothi

Mangaluru: A Major illegal skill games centre in the heart of the city was raided by the Mayor Kavitha Sanil along with the MCC team at Jyothi here on July 6.

Based on the complaint of a parent that their son was spending money behind skill games the Mayor took the initiative and raided the skill games centre.

More than 200 people were busy involved in gambling and smoking in the skill game centre.

Speaking to the mediapersons Mayor Kavitha Sanil said, “Today we have come here to raid the skill game centre for not obtaining the trade license. This skill game centre is located in the parking area without any trade license. We have already informed the police. There are more than 500 students coming here to enjoy in the centre and waste the hard-earned money of their parents. Because of the bad habits of their children, many families are suffering. The centre has a number of entry and exit doors to escape in such situations”

when asked without informing the police why the raid was conducted on the centre, Mayor said, “We raided the centre because it is operating illegally in the parking area of the building. There is no trade license, we need to check how such a big set up of a skill games centre in the heart of the city did not come to the knowledge of the police department. If the police are alert and deal with such illegal activities, we can save many youths from spoiling their lives. Parents should also see that their children should not be addicted to such habits. If any of their children will visit the skill game centre they should immediately inform the police or the MCC.”

Nowadays youth have been addicted to skill games and are spoiling their lives. The police have earlier carried out several raids on skill game centres as well as massage parlours in the city, still, this illegal business is thriving in the city. A number of vulnerable youth are attracted and get addicted to such games and massage centers and spoil their lives.

THIS RAID IS JUST LIKE THE OTHER RAIDS MCC CONDUCTS-ON SHOPS WITHOUT TRADE LICENCE; ILLEGAL STREET VENDORS; NON-HYGIENIC CONDITIONS AT RESTAURANTS; ETC ETC–TODAY’S RAID WILL JUST BE JOKE AND KIND OF DRAMA FOR PUBLICITY STUNT.

I BET YOU- THIS BUSINESS OF ILLEGAL GAMES WILL BE BCK IN BUSINESS WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS- NO MATTER WHAT? WE HAVE SEEN SUCH RAIDS IN THE PAST ON SUCH ESTABLISHMENTS-BUT IN MANY CASES THOSE ESTABLISHMENTS WHO GOT BUSTED AR BCK IN BUSINESS AND MINTING MONEY.

THESE RAIDS BY MCC ARE JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT?
