MCC Commissioner Akshy Kumar is Also Now the Managing Director of MSCL
Mangaluru: Young IAS officer Akshy Sridhar who took over as the Commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation on 25 August 2020 replacing Ajith Kumar Hegde, has now been given yet another post as Managing Director of Mangaluru Smart City Limited, a post which was handled by Mohammed Nazir.

An engineering graduate from College of Engineering, Guindy, Akshy had also served earlier as an assistant secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries in New Delhi. Prior to becoming the Commissioner of MCC, He was the Assistant Commissioner Bidar sub division.
Mohammed Nazir
Mohammed Nazir who was the Managing Director of MSCL, has been transferred to State Department of Statistics, Bengaluru, but he has yet to be assigned a designated post. Prior to taking up the MD post of MSCL, Mohammed Nazir was the Commissioner of MCC, before that the Commissioner of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority. Nazir, who holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, had also served as the Chief Planning Officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat and Executive Officer of Bantwal Taluk Panchayat earlier.
