Manipal College Of Dental Sciences (MCODS) to Host ‘Dentofest’ – a Dental Exhibition as Part of Dental Awareness Week from 24 Jan-28 Jan 2018 at Lecture Hall 1, MCODS-Attavar, Mangaluru
Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a Press Meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Dr Dilip Nayak, Dean of MCODS said, ” MCODS-Mangaluru, as a social commitment to general public of Mangaluru City, is organizing an Awareness Programme on Oral Health, as part of Silver Jubilee of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The main purpose of this program is to promote the Oral Health by creating awareness about oral hygiene maintenance and preventing oral diseases. Good oral health is the mirror reflection of individual’s systematic well being. This exhibition includes a complete tour of oral health”.
“Also in this regard, a competition is organized for undergraduate dental students on various aspects of dental well being which will be held on 24 Jan; and a drawing contest for little kids and college students will be held on 27 Jan on the theme “Swachh Bharath” to manifest their thoughts on a clean mouth. Free dental checkup with basic dental treatment will be made available for general public. This service will be continued for 3 more months. Dr Kundabala-Professor and Chairperson of Patient care Committee, MCODS-Mangaluru along with her team invite citizens of Mangaluru to participate in this programme” added Dr Nayak.
The inaugural function of ‘Dentofest- Dental Exhibition’ will be held on 24.01.2018 at Lecture Hall-1 MCODS, Attavar campus at 10 am. The chief guest for the occasion will be Dr Poornima Baliga- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Health sciences-MAHE; joined by guests of honor namely- Dr Shivasharan Shetty- Member of DCI and President of IDA-Dakshina Kannada Branch; and Dr V Surendra Shetty- Pro Vice-chancellor, MAHE. The exhibition for the public will be held from 25th to 28th Jan 2018.
