MCP and CCB police arrest Two in Serial Shootout case
Mangaluru: The MCP and CCB police succeeded in arresting two persons in connection with the serial shootout case at Chitrapur, Mulky here on December 28.
The arrested have been identifiés as Manoj Kundar alias Manju (35) from Mulky and Chandrashekar alias Tikki Annu (32) from Attur Kapikad Pakshikere.
According to the police on December 7, at around 8:00 pm the accused shot at Rajashree Jewellers at Kinnigoli. On December 8, at around 8pm the same accused shot at the Sanjeev Shetty Silk and Sarees outlet. In the shootout the staff of the cloth centre was injured and admitted to the hospital. On December 23 at around 9:00 pm the accused attempted to kill Nagaraj in Mulky.
The accused Manoj Kundar has direct connection with the Underworld Don Kali Yogish. Under the direction of Kali Yogish the accused had committed the crimes.
The police have arrested both Manoj and Chandrashekar and seized 2 pistols and 7 live bullets from their possession.
Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh and the guidance of DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth the operation was carried out by the CCB Inspector Shantharam, PSI Shyam Sundar, ASI Harish, Ramanath Poojary, Ganesh, Chandrashekar, Sheenappa, Chandra, Subramanya, Chandrahasa, Yogish, Rajendra Prasad, Abdul Jabbar, Mani, Prashanth Shetty, Ashith DSouza, Tejakumar and Ritesh.
