‘Meet the Cutest Kids’ in ‘Cute Kidz Photo Contest’

Mangalore: Sooooo Cute! Pretty parents can produce Pretty kids- and that’s what we saw at the prize distribution ceremony of “Cute Kidz Photo Contest” held at Idea CafeT-Mangaluru, a contest hosted by Mangalorean.com in association with V4 TV channel and Ideal Ice Cream to mark the Children’s Day which is celebrated on November 14. The cutest among the cutest kids came well attired in their good looking dresses accompanied by their parents or grandparents. After the successful contests like the “Mother and daughter Look-Alike” Contest; “Father and Child Look-Alike Contest”, this unique contest had attracted hundreds of entries, of which only 100 were pre-selected by professional judges, who have been in the field of Photography, fashion, art, movies, choreography and so on. The Winners in this contest surely did add an extra credit to their resume!

Having three categories like kids up to 2 years of age; 2-5 years of age; and 5-7 years of age, the response from the parents has been enormous. Apart from the judging done by our professional judges who have years of industry experience spotting talent and selecting fresh faces, we have also given a chance for our website readers to vote online, where they could vote for their favorite kid. And after thorough judging and online voting, here we have the winners- and all of them were beaming in smiles and ready to accept their prizes.

The chief guest for the occasion was Additional Superintendent of Police, Dr Vedamurthy, with guests of honour namely twin sisters-Adhvithi and Ashvithi Shetty, the Sandalwood Cine stars, Mukund Kamath-MD of Ideal Ice Cream, his mother and son; Laxman Kunder- Chairman of V4 news; and Violet Pereira- Proprietor & Editor-in-cheif of Mangalorean.com. Addressing the audience,  Dr Vedamurthy said, “It’s indeed a unique contest organised, which will encourage the youngsters to be more active and involve themselves in co-curricular activities. Parents should play an important role when raising their child, by providing them with good care, teach them good manners, train them in various co-curricular activities- and by doing this the children will become more active, enthusiastic and smart.

Cine stars Adhvithi and Ashvithi Shetty also spoke and advised the children to grow up as good children, avail all the facilities provided to them, show interest towards co-curricular activities, art, entertainment etc and accomplish great achievements when they grow up. Mukund Kamath also spoke and congratulated the winners and offered his support in future for such events. The prizes for the event were sponsored by -Ideal Ice Cream, V4 News, Mangalorean.com, Mithun Rai, AJ Hospital and Research Centre, KMC Hospitals-Mangaluru, Crave Bakes and Desserts-Mangaluru, Little Hood Kids Dress shop-city centre mall, Hamsmart Sports Shop-City centre mall, Fun City-City Centre mall, Hotel Taj Gateway, AR D’souza and Son-Mangaluru, Vas Bakery-Bendore (Bryan Vas); Dr Eugene Rent, McDonalds, and Agarwal Agencies-Balmatta.

This party of little children who were happy and filled with enthusiasm was one of the most beautiful sights to watch, and a sight which for the moment almost led us to mistrust our theories of human misery. Little children are happy because they have no carking cares nor troublesome responsibilities, no painful memories and no anxious anticipations- and we all witnessed it. The professional judges for the contest were ace photographers  Ravi Posavanike, Astro Mohan, Apul Ira and Satish Ira. Prizes were presented to the winners in the three categories by the chief guest and guests of honour. The function was compered by Alfie D’Souza (Team Mangalorean) and by 11-year-old-cute girl Advika Shetty, a student of Delhi Public School-MRPL, Surathkal. It was indeed a fun-filled occasion, where Mangalorean.com, V4 News and Ideal Ice Cream did put miles of smiles on these cute kids. Thank You parents! Thank you kids! Thank you sponsors!
